A Friend has offered to give me some MLD Does, what all do i need to take them to the processor ? is it just the MLD Tag on the animal, or do i also need a Wildlife Resource Document?

Are you going to shoot them? That may make a difference, and you should just need the MLD tag and your license. The processor will give you the WRD. If your friend shot them and is just giving you the meat then he should give you the mld tag and a WRD. At least that's how I think it works

If the does have already been shot here is what I have done and been checked with by a Game Warden with no issues
1) Friend shoots doe
2) you get carcass w/ tag attached and filled out by friend who shot the doe
3) Fill out Wildlife Resource Document with friend who shot the doe
4) Show up at processor with doe carcass w/ tag & Wildlife Resource Doc

If you are shooting the does it works like this
1) Shoot doe
2) Fill out MLD Tag and attach to doe
3) Complete the MLD Harvest Log
4) Drop doe off at processor with MLD tag attached

All i have to do is drive over to his place, he has them in a walk in cooler, so it should be easy peezy for me. just load them up and head home, stop by processor. thanks for the responses.Comment
