    Bucks still fighting

Sorry folks, no pictures or video.

was getting stuff out of the house to go into the shop today and the feeder had gone off in the back yard(i'm on 10 acres). Bunch of does showed up and a big antlered 10 point I hadn't seen in a couple months showed up. as I was going out the back door another 8 point comes over.

they square off and BAM they go at it. No rattle rattle, it was full blown crash and push. The smaller 8 pushed the other 8 across my place into the neighbors place. Sure seems late for them to stil be enemies.

We see fresh missing times many times in Jan. Especially if there is a fawn that comes into season in the area.

I have a 9 Point and a 10 point that have been sparring a little bit in the last 2 weeks along with a couple of young 4 Points doing the same. First time I have seen that!!

Fawn rut would be my only thought on it. We had some deer get broken up about 3 weeks ago, and that was a surprise.

I have video of and old 5 and a younger 8 squaring up several times over the past month or so at my feeder.

Wasn’t expecting that, good stuff. It did look like they were just playing though.

Definitely in our world. Probably until early February.

Does and yearlings breeding this late will have spikes next hunting season.

My little deer are sparring. Even saw a 3.5 sparring with a 1.5 yesterday.
I guess until all the fawns are bred those big bucks are still
                    competitive

Not all fights are female related. They have dominance pecking order fights and food fights often. Like someone said above, they'll fight until their antlers fall off. Then they'll fight with their hooves.
