    arkansas RV trip

Thinking about taking the motor home for a 10-14 day trip this june. We usually head to the mountains or out west for vacation but thinking about something different this year. Been thinking maybe Arkansas. Things we like to do would be basic vacation stuff like hiking, floating a river, golf, music, breweries etc. We've never been in Arkansas much so looking for some advise.

Buffalo River is great, lots of cool trails around there if you like to hike. Ponca area.
    Also Devils Den St Park.

My wife and I took our camper to a RV park a few miles outside of Hot Springs. It was great as it had the river and hiking trails to take advantage of. It was about 20 minutes outside of Hot Springs and we got to experience the charm of that town as well. It was called Charlton Recreation Area.

I second buffalo river float trip. JFK state park is nice, sits on the little red river and has great trout fishing.

Sure is hard to beat the Buffalo river for what you want to do. Highly recommend Dirst outfitters for canoes and such and theres an RV park just down from them at Buffalo Point

Daisy state park. Beautiful place great fishing and close to Hot Springs, Diamond Crater and other sites. The state parks do not have full hookups but that was not an issue. Bathrooms were super clean

We stayed in Hot Springs last year for Spring Break with the kids. We camped on Lake Catherine and did some striper fishing, caught some nice ones! Did all the tourist stuff downtown, good food, hot springs, gangster museum, Ohio club, etc. We rented some Polaris RZR's one day and drove all over the mountain, hit the casino one night and lost some money. Hiked to a pretty waterfall on Lake Catherine, Arkansas was fun for us.

Buffalo River, Lake Ouachita, Petti Jean State Park. AR is a beautiful state but it’s very humid and the bugs can get bad, ticks, chiggers, and skeeters. Bring plenty of bug spray.

Lake Kathrin State Park has an awesome fishing lake & lots of great hiking trails and Diamond Head Golf Course is just a few miles up the road and is one of our favorite courses to play. There are other great hiking areas in driving distance and Hot Springs isn’t too far away for a day trip.
