Any idea how fast a high deer population will empty a 600 lb feeder?

That’s almost impossible to answer. Deer consume about 2-3# a day. So need to know how many deer we are taking about.

So many varialble to answer this question that there's not even a ballpark. One thing is for sure unless it is green, green from the spring, it will be faster than you want it to be if you have a decent population. The hinges off the wallet comment was perfect...

I haven’t fed it in a few years, but with the “good” deer population that we had, that’s about a 12 day supply.

I’ve had deer eating 75lb per day out of 1 feeder, good thing it’s a 3000lb. Average consumption is 40-50llb

1000 lb feeder lasts a month for me during the growing season. And that’s in East Texas with low deer density.

I don’t know how anyone can say how much per month without knowing how many deer we are taking about.

as stated.. it's supposed to be around 1.5% of their body weight per day, but put a plate of little debbies in front of me, and I can go like 3-4% without blinking. Also, how many raccoons are eating out of it. they can be responsible for 20-30% with some of these protein feeder designs that make things easy for them.
