Treeline Timed Protein Feeders

Has anyone had any experience with these feeders ? I really don’t want to spend $1500 or more for a timed protein feeder but the old adage “you get what you pay for” keeps ringing in my ears. I also don’t need one that holds 1,000 pounds of protein so these fit the size I’m looking for. The Treeline corn feeders don’t exactly have stellar reviews so that’s a factor also. Thanks !

I bought mine early last summer and it has run flawlessly. I plan to replace my other big 1000 free choice this year with another treeline timed. It comes with a tube of silicone as well.

(The timed protein feeder - 600#) I bought one when they were on sale FOR $375 a few weeks ago.

No in field use yet- but this sucker is heavy (hopefully that means heavy duty).
187# package weight.

I'm liking what I'm seeing so far with it.

I took some picks when unboxing to show a lease member and will include them here if time permits.

I've been running the 600# timed protein feeder for almost a year now with no issues. It comes with a tube of silicon and I put that everywhere that was recommended. Its been a good feeder although it is not coon or squirrel proof. They can still climb the legs and get to the spouts.

I also had a squirrel burrow his way up the spouts and into the hopper, then the actuator closed while he was in there and he decided to chew threw the cable going to the actuator. That was a nice surprise to find about a month later.

Are there any timed protein feeders that are coon or squirrel proof? My ASFs and our lease members' Lamcos are not but the critters are at least only limited to what the deer leave (if any) as opposed to them raking it out all night in a free choice situation..

i just bought 2 of these from TSC. has anyone tried the 4" PVC on bungies with these? That has helped on spin feeders. anything to deter the trash pandas and tree rats.

Another new to me thing with this feeder - for each throw- you set what time you want it to open and what time you want it to close , not how long you want it open. So one minute appears to be the smallest amount of time the chute would feed to me.

Thanks guys, I have looked at these in passing, but not closely. Since the corn slingers did not have overly good reviews I was a little skeptical and wanted some reviews from folks who have had them for a year or more, which is about the amount of time that they have been available. The mechanism looks pretty simple, the feeder itself looks heavy duty, and thanks for the pics DaveC. I think, with the info y’all have given, that I will buy one for here at home and see how it does. If I’m happy with it, I’ll buy another for a lease. Again, I appreciate the input !

I understand it to be a minimum of one min as well.

I wonder, havent put mine out yet, if you can only do it "x" number of days a week. Like if i wanted it to open for 1 min every other day? or every Mon-Wed-Fri?

keep in mind that gap gets somewhat filled in when the attachment to feed only corn is installed.
(btw, I emailed about the spacer / feed throttle/ collar. Was told to just use always and adjust as necessary. )

adding Youtubes on my phone is other than fun -lol.

oh and why am I crocked up playing with a feeder in the dark?
to allow my wife more quality time with her mother who was visiting from New York. Being such a nice guy and all, I didn’t want to interfere with that bonding 😬.
