I think the prayers worked.

Shortly after starting this thread (and making the same post on FB) I had a TON of work dropped on my desk. I got so absorbed in the work that I forgot to worry about my issue.

Finished up that work about an hour or so ago and was able to look at the issue in a fresh light.
Still need help with it, but my stomach isn't in knots anymore.
