I hate being sick. I only have had the flu once. 45 years ago. That was enough for me. Now I just avoid humans.

I got the flue bad about 30 years ago. Sick as a dog for a full week and took 3 more weeks to fully recover my strength. Been taking a shot every year since.

Y’all know how men don’t complain? Like, something has got to be broke, dislocated or on fire before there’s a problem. Maybe it’s my age now, I’m not that old however it’s been 25 years since I’ve had the flu. I’d like to file a formal complaint with the flu and start a motion to get the flu added to the list of stuff that SUCKS!

I typically get a flu shot every year, since I was 12. But periodically, I'll skip a year just because I forget...

Clean so far this year (with no shot), but I got it last year over New Years, 2 days after we got back from our Christmas cruise.
Tested and they confirmed it was ONLY the flu! I did have my flu shot, but it was a month before contracting the bug...

I had never had the flu before that time so was expecting the worse. I laid in bed for 4 days and slept, not much appetite, and was just generally sore all over. Not a painful soreness, but just a constant ache in almost every joint of my body. I could move, but it was like I was in slow motion all the time. Not much cough or sore throat, just the ache.

Hope you start feeling better soon, Preacher Man!

My parents just had a round of it and it was bad for both of them. Hoping we can keep dodging it over here.

My wife and I had flu A over Christmas and stayed locked up in the bedroom. Symptoms lasted 2 weeks for me and sucked. My wife is now nearing 4 weeks and still feels like crap. They have given her some steroids and antibiotics since it seems to have tuned into acute bronchitis at this point.

Yes sir, about 2 months ago. Mine was stomach flu, wife called it noro virus. Not sure the flu shot is supposed to help with that.

Some of my friends say I’m crazy because I get all my vaccination’s every year, but I have a 80+ year old MIL and a wife who had a heart valve replacement, + a nephew who almost died of whooping cough ,aunt who died in 2020 of Covid
so it’s a minor inconvenience to protect my family every year

Same here. It’s the third day, and I’m still not feeling any better—it’s so frustrating. On the bright side, being stuck at home gave me plenty of time to do some research, and I came across https://academized.com/write-my-dissertation services for my son. He’s been struggling with his workload lately, so I thought this could be a great way to give him some extra support. He’s really excited about it and feels more confident knowing he’ll have professional help with his dissertation. Hopefully, this will take some pressure off him
