Can't make it past the first few minutes of admitting his fellow officers are committing felonies and keeping their jobs.

You can hate on him if you like. But, you certainly can’t fault the man for the time he donates for various charities!

I'm not sure how anyone can listen to him more than 15 seconds. Irritates me.

Guess it is a good thing most of his videos are shorter than that.

It happens. Not all the time but it does. But it happens in other fields as well.

And before the whole 'blue line' crap comes up, thats not the deal in the instances Ive known of. I have personally made statements and provided my opinion when idiots do idiot things. Ive seen charges accepted and dropped faster than a hot poker. I once told a chief right to his face his guy was lying to everyone about shooting at a car and needed to be let go based on his actions. The guy had no business being a cop. Not even wal mart security. But they kept him and hes probably still working there.

I have no doubt his agency didnt like what he was doing but I never saw him referring to himself as such so youd think it wouldnt be an issue. There are cases out there with women cops posing nude and keeping jobs and losing them the same. Policies change.

                    Been there, seen that.

I conducted an investigation on one of my officers, after he was reported to me by other officers for falsifying documents. I did an investigation before turning it over to internal affairs and proved in my opinion that he had falsified some paperwork and likely with video evidence. It affected no citizen like with falsified evidence.

I went to my deputy chief with my legally signed memorandum making it a government record, telling him that I hate to dump this in your lap, but I suggested felony charges against one of my officers. He read it and pretty emphatically said, Thank you! for doing your job.

He then took off down the hall with my memo to the Chief’s office and internal affairs.

Nothing happened. I went to IAD a few weeks later to find out from the horse’s mouth where the investigation was heading. Response? What investigation?

Speaking with the commander of IAD I brought up that evidence almost certainly proved my investigation. His response was something simple like… yep, but the investigation is over. When I ask how that could be, he looked toward the Chief’s office and kind of nodded and said, “The investigation is over”.

So the guy walks on a likely felony and at least termination because the chief doesn’t want to be on the news about a bad officer? Again the response was, “The investigation is over”.

                    That’s one.

                    I could do a better ones…..

It isn’t often but yes it happens. Most officers would rather the officers at the least be terminated because they don’t want to work with a liability. Then it gets to the political level of chief, mayor, city manager….. and Poof!

Oh yeah, the officer? Terminated about a year later for fleeing from a DPS trooper on a motorcycle.
