Definitely recommend a heated water hose for colder temps and either an extra propane tank or a larger propane tank to take a warm shower. I don’t mind the cold showers in the summer but I ain’t brave enough to do it with these temps we have right now 😂.

Electric fire place is definitely the way to go to save on having to run the heater and not having to use propane on a gas fireplace if they even make those for an RV.

We will be back at Splashway in 2 weeks for a cookoff. Think we stayed there right at 30 days in 2024 so that is what we are aiming at as we have already rebooked our sept-dec dates.

No big trips planned for us this year but we do finally plan on building a shed to store the trailer in.

I booked up the get there and return State Parks for our Memorial day weekend Big Bend trip last night.
Guadeleoupe river SP-> David Mountains Sp- > Big Bend NP -> Lost Maples SP.
12 day trip should get us started for 2025.

Next one to book up is a Gulf Coast trip from here to Florida and Back for another 12 dayer.
Gonna stay somewhere along the coast in Mississippi, Alabama and Florida.....And MAYYYBe Georgia depending on how I can stack the stays... gotta sniff that all out.
I like to do 2 nights one full day at each stop....

When I retire I'll double back to the places we liked, for now we are putting miles in and getting the Clark Griswald view of all we can along the way 😁😁

🤣😂 I Love that scene, what a trendsetter.

We did the Florida trip this past summer and stayed in Destin. Loved the trip and especially because the campground was connected to the hotel so we had the amenities of the hotel which was awesome!

We stayed at an awesome KOA on the way back

We ran over to Blue Sky on Cedar Creek for New Years. No real reason, just something the wives found to get out of town. Nice place, plenty close by for the kids to do, and no one bothered us!

I just bought a new truck and the receiver on it is bigger than my last one (2.5” vs. 2”).

As opposed to having to buy a new receiver hitch with a sway ball, do they sell sleeves that the one I already have could just slide in to?

Yes. Fords usually come with the sleeve...

Hmmmm. Mine did not. At least I don’t think it did.

Perhaps I’ll call the dealership tomorrow and ask.

My 2022 it was under the rear seat. My 2018 it was in the lower glove box.

Dealer should be able to provide the “sleeve” as well as the pin.

If you do ever need to replace at your own expense they can be found at parts stores and Amazon.

Worked on the lease camper project last week.

removed all the old dicor. And replaced 100% of all the trim on all corners and roof. New non sag dicor everywhere it goes and new self leveling where it goes.

wife took the decor upon her self…. And demo…. That lead to a full week of fixing. She wanted backsplash… in a camper. And all new blinds and curtains.

wall paper was an epic fail and actually took the factory…. So I removed all on that wall and finished the plywood fall out flat and did a light knock down texture. Primed and painted. Slip covers are in just not installed. All new dinette covers as well. It’s a 2016 and look 20 years newer now. Lol

repacked bearings 2 weeks ago. Looking for the weather to clear for a few days so I can reseal roof.

Booked 8 days outside Dolores CO for late July. I am going to look for parks on the route this week. I am getting older and have no desire to push more than 300 to 400 miles a day.

Will probably look for a couple of midweek trips in late May or June to tune up

Head down to Old Mexico to enjoy the beach. This trip will be shorter than years past. 28 days this time. 30ft Forrester Class C. Pulling a tow dolly. Haven't decided what Jeep to tug along for driving through the dunes. Rocky Point MX aka Puerto Penasco MX
