I've found the mouth calls do just as well as the electronic. Just don't call

I have had success using a Bluetooth speaker and youtube animal in distress calls. A buddy has called in Turkeys just using his phone

Get some Randy Anderson series Primos mouth calls.
Less expensive, and just as effective.

Kicker with dogs is not being seen, smelled, or heard. Even if they think something’s wrong they’ll get to barking.

tdwinklr is correct. Mouth calls produce the ultrasonic frequencies that predators produce and hear. Every electronic caller produced today other than the FREQ peaks at 17,000 to 18,000 HZ. To date every distress sound and animal vocalization that we have tested has gone over 50,000 Hz. Most hand calls will produce realistic frequencies in the 40,000 to 50,000 Hz range.
Canines hear to 45,000 Hz and felines to 64,000 Hz.
