Rock tool identification

Need some help identifying a rock tool. Found in a batch of river rock. Hopefully it’s something and not just a rock.

Thanks. I was I know nothing about this stuff. It looks like it was knapped on one side with some newer chips based on being with the river rock. What I don’t get is the circle deal. It’s like a thumb hole for a right handed person. It’s smooth and definitely “man made”. Thanks again for input.
