    Receiver mounted game hoist

Any recommendations for one? Gonna get one before next season....had to find a tree today and use the truck to pull the doe up so we could skin and quarter her....not ideal but made it work.

    thanks in advance

I don't have one to recommend, but find one that swivels. Those ones are much easier to get the critter into the truck if you aren't gonna quarters right there.

HME makes a solid built one with swivel function. Good for an old guy like me

I bought one from Scheels. It’s a 400lb version & has been flawless. I ordered it & assembled it.

I had one made at a welding shop for my truck. It works great!

If you can find one of those old-school monarch hoists that were being made around 1999, they were really great. I had one for many years but it got lost in the brush (long story.)
I bought one of those HME brand ones that Amazon sells and I didn’t care for it. It was way too flimsy for our purposes. But we need one to load deer over 200 lbs on an almost daily basis during deer season. I bought an Outback hoist at the beginning of last season and I love it. It’s very heavy duty and so far has withstood all kinds of abuse.

My only complaint is that is that is a little longer than necessary and I know they designed it that way so you can get large animals completely off the ground but it doesn’t lay down flat in a short bed truck.

I've had the HME version and it has been good. I like that it swivels so I can swing the deer into the bed of the truck if I am by myself.

Don’t know where you’re located but if in Houston area Ultramatic in Hockley has a good one.

Yes! I’ve had one for two years now. Very solid. Adjustable bottom foot and height. and it swivels. Or you can build your own if you’re interested in that route. The HME cost $199.00 when I purchased it from Bass Pro.

What are you doing buying them when you used to build nice ones?

I have a Redneck hoist and skinner and it’s a beast! Rated for up to 350 lbs I believe. I haven’t used the skinning feature yet however I will soon I believe. It does swivel. Failrly heavy to handle.
