    Zacks vs Leggs Snack Stick Seasoning

    Made a batch of snack sticks ( my first) using Zacks Snack Stick Seasoning and it's pretty dang good, but would like a little heat.

    Haven't tried Leggs but heard it's good too. Which do yall prefer? Does Leggs have any heat to it? May add cayenne pepper next time, but don't know how much

    Crushed red pepper flakes work too. I use cayenne, black pepper, and crushed red pepper on jerky. It gives it the bite I like without being too much.

      Yeah, the flakes may be better for snack sticks. I love black pepper on jerky. Any idea how much red pepper flakes per lb?

        I use 1 oz per 50lb for mild. 2 oz for a little heat but not to much.

            No idea. I would probably start at 2 TBSP per pound.
