Getting rid of an old travel trailer

I have a 1994 travel trailer at the deer lease. And the roof is starting to fail. I want to get rid of it. Facebook marketplace has been a nut kick.

I’ve got a junk guy around our place and he takes stuff like that. I call him a couple times a year and he grabs anything metal.

Place a "free" notice at the local feed store. The frame and axles could be made into a trailer or hay bale trailer.

Thats a good idea. We have several junk trailers that were left by a former lease member we have to get rid off.

Find someone/company who rebuilds old travel trailers off the frames and they will pick up for free or you'll need to haul to their lot. Worst case scenario, get a bobcat rental for a day or two and dig a hole and demo it and bury it.

Can people demo and bury mobile homes? Outside city limits. Just curious.

Yes. At least up here in the Panhandle. Standard practice is to dig a pit and then drag/compact/fill and then do a final fill after that. However, the scrap metal usually will be a better option as you get a few bucks off the metal.

I once saw a video from a buddy of mine from highschool and his ol man where they used an “undisclosed amount of tannerite” set inside the open camper door to demo an old junker they had sitting about.

needless to say, it was a good thing they drug it into the open and they were not prepared for the mess it made.

This one is from the 70's. Too old to move so will need to be demo'd

We had one like this at a campsite one time. We cut it up and burned it, a hot enough fire will melt that aluminum siding. Granted it was only an 18’ one.
