I’m looking to book some spring time RV weekends. 8 year old daughter, my wife and I. Biking and hiking would be the main plans assuming I book too early in the year to swim. Plan to get the kiddo into geocaching to have a reason to walk around. Any favorite parks? We’re in Northwest Houston and prefer a 2-4 hour drive.

Well that last sentence rules both these out, but Davis Mountains and Caprock Canyons.
ETA: Goose Island is also a good one. Not sure how far that would be from you. -
Pushing the 4 hour window but Mineral Wells & Dinosaur Valley were my favorites when I lived in the DFW area.Comment

Garner State Park is my favorite. Llano State Park is also a good one. Inx Lake, Brazos Bend State Park is quickly becoming a regular spot for the wife and I to hike and ride our bikes.Comment
