Dang I remember piling up to a table for the first time with a bunch of random strangers when we first moved there back in the 90's. I was in the 6th grade and it was a Sunday after church. By the time we left there I felt like I just left a relatives house and everyone in there was saying bye to ya even if you didn't share a table with them.

It was closed the past few times we had been in Sweetwater for a rodeo. Very good food back in the day though

Yep finally closed down, I believe first of July. Nobody else to take it over so the family finally decided to retire. Honestly I think they should make that little house a city landmark and never tear it down. No other eating experience like it that I have ever seen. I’ve seen Coach Bob Knight sitting the next table over and several other “famous” people over the yrs. It will be missed by many.

I found out about Allen's 4 years ago, and they had the best food we've ever had at a restaurant since that time. We'd drive to eat there from our deer lease, or stop there on our way to baseball or soccer tournaments or on our way home from tournaments. Best food ever for a low price.
