Does anyone have a recommended Outfitter for a Guided Bow Hunt?
Looking to book next season....
160-200 for the deer
over 375" for ELK
-------------
I'm flexible about how I hunt.. .i'm good with spot and stalk.... and ambush (stand, etc..). I'm good with either High Fence (on large acreage) or Low Fence and understand that HF will cost more. I'm just looking for a good hunt. The last hunt in Arizona was a waste of time. I prepared by shooting three times a week out to sixty yards for nine months....and not one shot opportunity....In fact, very few animals...and only two within 1000 yards....On one day alone, I hiked six miles up and down mountains and saw nada. I'm looking for "BETTER" than that...(that hunt cost $7500)
I'm not necessarily looking for a guarantee; but, the ranch or public land has to have the size I want or there is no chance to get the size I desire... For example, for my ELK, I went with Forbes Outfitters out of Kaycee, WY for bowhunting spot and stalk because of their reputation for quality animals and GOD gifted me a 325" ELK -- shot at 48 yards, that was the largest harvested in my group. Are there bigger somewhere else, sure. However, Forbes had a high shot opportunity rate and for my prep and vacation time, it was worth it.
For those, that think, go back to Forbes... I would if I thought there was even a 25% chance of getting one bigger that one I already harvested in 2017.
