    My mother just had a fitcamx installed and likes it. Took getting hit by some nutcase old woman and haggling with insurances to convince her to finally get one.

        Subscribed. There's a lot of them out there, but I'm interested to see which one gets recommended the most here.

          There are hundreds of brands out there, I've had a few in different cars so when I replace one,
          I just find one with the features I need and they last a few years. As long as it takes video and retains
          the memory of them, then I'm good. Doesn't have to be fancy.
          They have actually helped me in a couple situations where the other driver was going to get
          away with wrong doing but the cam footage proved my viewpoint as correct.

            This is my thoughts. I have used them for 8 years. I want front and rear views. I mount the rear camera on the rear view windshield mirror so I can point it at my window and record anyone at the drivers door acting a fool. As of today never needed it...

              I’ve had and used several and like the size and features of Garmin the most. If I want to permanently save a picture or video without taking my hands off the wheel, I can use voice commands to do so with the Garmin and video quality is great.

                  I could write a book on dash cams. 7 years ago I had a wreck 2 blocks from my house. Lady hit me going 55 in a 30 mph zone. My dash cam did not come on and I had no video. It did not matter I got the ticket.

                    Any tips on clean wiring? I wondered if I could wire into the rear view mirror. I hate unmanaged cords.

                      Now days I am obsessed with it recording before I back out of my driveway.

                      3 cars with cameras.

                      Zero UFO sightings. Hmmmm...

                        As of today I have wire bundles hidden here and there. {3 vehicles}

                        My Tundra has a solar panel on it and that adds more wires to the camera set up.

                        Go to a professional installer if you want a wireless install...

                          they make harnesses for most cars that will plug into the mirror to give it power, have not bought one yet, but looking at them

                            WOLFBOX Official Website specializes in high-quality front and rear view mirror cam and driving dash cam. One of the best rear view mirror dash cam. Free shipping and 18-month warranty on all mirror dash camera!

                            I've got the G900 mirror with mount in my truck, so I don't have to wrap a cam around the OEM mirror via some kinda bands. Wolfbox has a mount for their mirror cams that functions just like a OEM mirror. Pop off the old OEM and slide the mirror onto the windshield mount. I've got the 105 dash mounted in my lil car. The 105 uses your cell phone for a screen, if you want. Both came with a rear cam and cables, and have Wi-Fi, GPS, BT, micro SD, voice, discreet "full-time" wiring harness, and a number of other features, and other peripherals available.
