Montec Optix XR2 Anyone Use One, Thoughts?

I posted this under equipment and tuning originally but did not get much response so I thought I would try it under "Around the Camp Fire"

I really like the idea of 1 fixed pin for hunting out to 25ish yards and a 2nd pin for everything else. How is the quality of Montec sights?

It does not have 3rd axis (what ever that means) I am a ground blind hunter 90% of the time so not sure that the additional axis really does anything.

nice sights I didnt like the fact that there is very little fiber optic wrap for gathering light. they were fairley dark in low light without the use of a sight light.

3rd axis is more important, imho, for an adjustable sight. It basically allows you to level the sight to the bow.

I personally really considered that sight when it came out. I really liked the idea of having a 40 yard fixed pin, which is really my max range and the adjustable pin that I could lock into 25.

I ended up sticking with the Sword Centurion because of the fit and finish. I think their products are top line so I think you'd do just great with that sight.

I have the sight and I like it, but I do wish that it had a 3rd axis adjustment.

Completely aware of that since I did own the sight and the light. But for the amount of money that you pay for this sight they really should have wrapped fibers on it. The sight lights are great but it would be nice to not have to rely on it in all low light conditions.

I love mine but def make sure to get the light, its bright enough to shoot but once the sun starts going down its gets a little dull.
