I would like to take my wife to Caddo Lake and go on a boat tour during spring break. I realize the weather can be anything from 80* and sunny to freezing drizzle, but I would discuss that with the tour guide before booking. Any recommendations from those who have been ? Probably stay one night so motel accommodations and eats recs would be nice too. Thanks !

A few years ago we went on a mud boat tour with Johnson’s Ranch Marina, would highly recommend. Also did a pontoon tour by a company by big pines lodge. That was the best place I can remember eating at, the hushpuppies were the best. Jefferson was fun to check out as well. The history is interesting.

There used to be a guy named Danny that was a local that gave some in a mud boat. He knows that lake like the back of his hand. He could take you on a very peaceful ride or one where you needed to hang on for dear life. Not sure he is still doing it though. He has had a house up there forever & I think we went out of Johnson marina.
