Got it done this morning. South Texas 9pt

Went out this A.M. and hunted the little cold front that came in last night. Slow morning until this buck quickly crossed the sendero chasing a doe. Thought I missed my chance but he came back. He was about to step off into the brush again so I whistled at him and he stopped and turned. Took the shot and he disappeared from view. Everything happened within 5sec. He's my PB so I'm super happy with him.

I'm in Hidalgo now Paul. I was previously hunting in Starr Co. but that ranch started to get extremely managed (and not in a good way). We had to start checking in and checking out with the ranch hand after and before our hunt. Ask permission if we were going to stay the night. The ranch hand was putting cameras on our feeders and shooting hogs in the off season. They were adding more hunters. Workers were using our equipment. Items (tposts, bbq pits) began disappearing. So I high-tailed it outta there.
