Check behind all the pictures hanging on the wall. Also check for any fresh paint damage to wall behind furniture. When my Granddad passed my Dad found a couple of grand hidden in those two places along with some hidden under the lids drawer of the oven.

Depending on flooring you might want to check for loose boards or spots for hiding money and other things in the floor if there is a crawl space or wooden floor.

I keep coming back here just to see what else you find.

Plus, they will haul off any 'junk' left over. Just a thought.
That’s what we’re looking at doing after we go through cleaning known trash out and get the things that we know we’re keeping.

            Love this kind of stuff.

There is a house here in Dripping Springs that was purchased a few years ago and promptly remodeled. In floors and walls, they found something like $500,000 in gold and cash.

When I was in my mid-20s (60 now) my brother and sister-in-law had a very nice older man that lived right behind them in a very small town about 50 miles from Fort Worth. He passed away one day and my BIL & I spoke with an older family member that had inherited his assets. The old house needed a lot of work from many years of neglect, but it was solid. The inside was full of antique furniture among many other things. The heir lived in another state and was ready to get her business taken care of and go home. She asked if we knew anyone that might want to buy the house and I asked her what she wanted for it. She said she'd take $5000 for it just to be done with it quick. I told her I'd take it, but I didn't have $5000. I called my banker and told him the situation and he told me that he'd loan me the full amount and to come to the bank in the morning. That evening the local real estate agency owner got wind of it and paid her $6000 for it. I was sick about that for a long time.

Oh wow. I could see where that would be upsetting for sure. I know In one of the rooms of this house there is some furniture covered up with blankets. I just haven’t made it to that room yet. Maybe I’ll advance to that tonight and see what it actually is. Lol

Let me know if you have any interest in selling any of the surfboards.

Well I found a New England Firearms single shot 20 gauge in one of the bedroom closets this evening. Nothing fancy but it’s in good shape!

Some books can be worth $100s if not $1000s.

Be careful throwing away any food or shave cream cans, screw off the bottom for the cash.

Hire a meth head to help you look for valuables.
Those people can find anything of value.. Don’t turn you back on him/her though.
