    Video: Hannah’s Thanksgiving Doe (Self-Filmed)

All of my girls (three daughters and my wife) love to bow hunt and have been doing so successfully since they could pull back a bow. We’ve posted most of their hunting recaps and videos here and on my YouTube channel.

My youngest daughter, Hannah, has had the most opportunity to hunt in the last few years, as Michaela and Courtney have started their work careers, marriages and, in Mo’s case, raising a couple of kids, while Hannah isn’t yet “saddled” with those responsibilities. In recent years she has been able to take advantage of those opportunities, even making trips to our Blanco lease on weekends when I couldn’t be there. She is also dedicated to capturing her hunts on camera, and has several successful self-filmed hunts.

On Thanksgiving day, Hannah came home and wanted to take advantage of the short, 4 day “doe season” in Lavaca County on our small property. While Jeanette and I were preparing for our weekend trip to POC, Hannah gathered her bow and camera for a solo hunt on Thursday afternoon, and was able to arrow a deer and, again, capture it on camera! While the footage was a little dark, due to camera limitations, I think she did a great job of capturing the hunt!

Yep, I love her genuine excitement. I went back and watched some older videos of previous hunts and she always gets really excited when we find them! Thanks for watching.
