    Prices for lithium
batteries for golf carts are all over the place. Some cheaper ones only have 3-5 year warranty while most of the more expensive ones have 10-12 year warranty.
However I did find 1 below $1,000 that has an 11 year warranty. Has anyone tried the Sunrich battery?

    Never heard of that brand.

I’ve heard mixed reports about cheap batteries like these. Some say the biz will close up after a few months and other brands are awesome and just like the high dollar brands.

I just installed the EB evobattery 52v 105ah battery. The performance was great, and keeps the cart a lot lighter. BUT from what I can tell the capacity isn’t near as good as my other lead acid batteries. I would imagine mainly because I have always ran 8-6vlt Trojan batteries. The cart is about 500# lighter so it’s a lot faster. But range has always been a big factor to me. And I just don’t think this one battery even tho it is about as big as the sell will have close to the range as the large battery packs I’ve had before. Also the cart is a little more tippy or unstable because of all the low center of gravity weight change. My old cart was so heavy you couldn’t hardly tip it but this one with the loss of weight feels very unstable. Just my 2 cents from my first weekend using it with lithium.

I recently took a chance on a cheap lithium battery. I got the Chins 52V 100ah and charger from amazon for 950.00. I bought a 3 yr Amazon warranty that will fix, replace, or refund the money if it cant be repaired/replaced for 90.00.

The performance of the battery so far has been great. I did a 11 mile run through the neighborhood and went from 100% to 88% charge. It has responded well at the deer lease in cold weather also.

Hoping it all works out and i got a better battery and spent less money then replacing the 6 trojans

If you switch ti lithium, get the 150ah battery, not 105ah. Cost a little more but worth it.

Yeah I should have researched more. I thought the 105ah battery was the bigger size. Didn’t realize there was a 150-160ah version

No experience with that brand. I went with “Enjoybot”, so far so good in both golf cart and boat.

ID:	26984370 There’s another thread on this, and I researched the Epoch unit pretty thoroughly from what I could find. Two members have it and posted about it. It seems to be the way to go to me. The link I went to had an unboxing/explanation video plus an installation video. The Epoch unit has absolutely everything you need to get the swap done and it is well thought out as far as I can determine. The best part is each battery is a 48v battery so you can go with 1,2,3,or 4, depending on how much range you need. I have had four different carts with lead acid and when these current ones expire I am absolutely going lithium and the Epoch unit. You owe it to yourself to google it and watch the videos if you are so inclined.

I would find a reputable dealer and buy from them so you might at least get some warranty help if the "factory" flakes out. In my hood we have a dealer for https://evolutionelectricvehicle.com and I got one of their carts over the summer. Yep, I bought the Chinese cart that is killing the industry but dang, Yamaha, Textron and Club Car just got greedy. No reason they should be double the price or more when you know they are getting their stuff from China too. Anyway, can't rave enough about how strong my cart is. That dealer will sell and install their batteries for other carts.

Lithium batteries tend to fail because of a cheap BMS. The reputable companies tend to use better ones.

I bought a 150ah 48v lithium pack 2 yrs ago. Was great for 1 year then had problems. Seller folded up shop due to warranty issues for using cheap BMS. Found a guy at Skunkworks who swapped out BMS. Runs like a champ now, we will see about longevity.

The lithium battery/cart forums on Facebook are great, with a wealth of knowledge. Try to use them for questions and reviews.
