    LEM vs MEAT grinders

Anyone have any input on LEM grinders vs Made with MEAT grinders? It will just be used to grind deer and pork shoulders into sausage and burger. The website says a half a hp grinder will do what I need so I am going to double that and get a 1hp. I am thinking I won’t get the dual grind just the single grind. Both are on a pretty good sale right now for Black Friday/thanksgiving but I don’t know if one is better than the other.

thanks in advance for any input from anyone who has experience with both.

The Meat 1 hp grinder is a pretty good value (402.99 with foot pedal) with their sale that ends tomorrow on 12-2-24. The same LEM grinder is 699.00. I have the Cabela's #32 1.5 hp grinder and it has been a beast for the past 16 years for me. I bought a Meat vacuum sealer 2 years ago and it has been flawless. My son bought one last week at a much better price than I did. If I were in the market for a grinder today, I`d be all over the Meat grinder over the LEM on the price alone. Lem`s not worth 300 bucks more. The Meat brand has a better warranty as well.

I bought the 1 HP MEAT grinder in April ‘22 and it has worked really well for me. It is really well built. I know several people that have had LEM grinders for a really long time. It’s hard to beat the price/value with the MEAT, though.

Harbor freight sells a foot pedal switch for around $15.

Can't speak to MEAT but I have a few LEM products. 1/2 HP will work for smaller quantities, but the 1HP will definitely expedite the process! As suggested, you'll like a foot pedal.
for LEM, use code BLACK24. I just ordered a slicer and believe I saved about 20%.

I have a MEAT dual grind .5 horse with a foot pedal and it has been great for me. No complaints.

I have been running a LEM BigBite for 5-6 years (maybe longer) and I can’t keep up with it. A foot pedal is a MUST have. I would buy another if needed, but I doubt it will be needed anytime soon. The thing is a beast. Never ran a MEAT, so no feedback there.
