I know that you can go to two different one buck counties and take a buck in each, but what if the ranch you are hunting is split by the two counties? The wheat field we are hunting is split in half by stephens/shackleford counties. If you go by the rules I could shoot a buck on one side of the wheat field and then shoot one on the other side if I wanted to. In situations like this are you at the wardens mercy on whether they believe you or not? I guess we could keep a map at the ranch that shows the county line running through the ranch. Is there any way a warden can ticket you for having two bucks from the same ranch as long as you shot them legally in each county?

I knew some guys that had a lease that straddled the Palo Pinto/Young County line. Back in those days, you had to have doe permits to kill does in gun season. They had doe permits for Palo Pinto - but not for Young. Amazingly enough, all the does seemed to get killed on the Palo Pinto side of the ranch!

My place is in Jack and Young I think as long as you appear to be legal they will never ask a question. It's basically your word against theirs, if they are worried about a few feet on a wheat field, then they need to find a better way to spend their time. Maybe check out some of the road hunters I see drive by everyday.

I am in this situation on one place I trap..land in both counties..the curvey road is the county line at some places and at some its just right through a pasture..I asked my local GW and he told me he wasnt a surveyor..If I told him it was in the other county he isnt going to get a transit and measure
