    Not My Brightest Idea!

Something stupid I did last night...

Well after a successful hunt, it had gotten dark and I started my long walk back to the truck. About halfway there I see a set of eyes in my headlight, about 40 yards ahead, in some tall grass/weeds. Dang raccoon. It's in the direction I'm walking, so I'm getting closer and closer and the coon is staying put. Finally from about 15 yards I decide to see how close I can get by running at it to chase it off. It's not budging(I run slow). At about the 5 yard mark I can clearly see...IT's A BOBCAT!!! Now I'm putting it in reverse. That cat never moved. It just laid there like...what the hell was that all about? Seemed very young. As I looked back he was kinda slinking off like cats do, at a very slow pace. Dumb azz idea. lol!

When I do something idiotic, I don’t call it stupid. I call it a learning experience.

That very well could’ve been a black Panther Jeff. Glad you made it out alive.

You lucky it wasn't a skunk.

                    Congrats on the pork.

Of the two, I’d rather fight the bobcat than the coon…

I have had coons in a trap and nothing will mess with them even with 1 leg secured. Coyotes and bobcats give it plenty of clearance.

Thanks for the grin and congrats on the hog. Looks like a perfect shot with that recurve.
