    Is that the bolt?
This happened to me last week.

Took it to a gunsmith and watched: he placed the plunger end in a vice, tightened it down, pulled while turning the bolt...

I know this is a little off topic but I've been looking at getting one of those. Would u recommend and how accurate are they.

I love this gun, 25.06 for my wife. Shoots great, no kick, been very reliable. Have a Vortex Diamondback 4 x 12 on it. Shoots tacks!

            Hammer handle should do it.

You just need to get that button pushed back. I would place the bolt flat on a table just like you see it pictured, then use a wooden block of some sort and push on that button, down and back. If you're looking at that picture, push from the upper right corner to the lower left corner only on that button. It'll click into it's proper place and you're good to go.

No problem man, I've been there and done that. Not with a Savage, but Remington bolts have the same type mechanism.
