    Yeehaw...........yearly ritual.

Neighbor next door has this big *** oak tree. When it drops acorns, it's a mess. On the outside of my fence it's about a 15' by 30' area in my yard. I've been raking a couple of hours for 2 days and have maybe half of them. I haven't even started in my back yard yet. The tree is on the north side of my house and when it drops leaves, the north wind blows them up against my house where it meets the fence. There will be leaves waist deep. Oh well, here we go again.

I thought you tangled with one of the neighborhood widow women.

My dad used a shop vac to suck up the Red Oak acorns and gave up raking years ago. He bagged the acorns up for me and I dump them out for the Deer.

My leaf blower won't move them. I have to rake them up and then scoop.

I don't have a hunting spot. I may have to get me one of these gizzmo's.

I'd love to swing by and pick them up on the way back from our Hagerman hunt next weekend. Anything you'd like to trade them for?

I'll be out of town next weekend. Plus they will be in the landfill by then. Sorry.

I believe that tree would come down with a mysterious disease if they didn’t trim it to their side of the fence or whatever it takes to not cause myself all that work. I heard you mention wind also a problem.
The old saying I go to lengthy measures to take care of my stuff my expectations of a good neighbor should do the same.

Sell them to some gullible deer hunter. Label them as trophy buck acorns or Boone and Crockett acorns. They will buy any gimmick.

You might already have one or two on the hook.

If they trim back off of my property line, they might as well take the whole tree out. The trunk is maybe 10' off on one side and about 15' the other way. We moved here in 1999 and one day I was talking to guy that lived there. I said something about how I liked not dealing with leaves every year like at my other house. I'll be durned if two days later he planted this tree. Grouchy old ******* new it would do this and I think he did it just to **** me off. I can't believe that house does not have foundation problems. The tree is only about 5' from the house. There really isn't enough room for a tree of that size.

Yes sir I never have understood why a person would plant a tree that has potential to affect their house or more importantly their neighbors. I have heard rumors a drill with said poison in an inconspicuous location works wonders. 😁 But probably too late for that it sounds like.
