    Level up propane grills

Wife cooks outside at least 3 times a week. Our Weber Spirit 310 bought new around 2016 has been just ok. Always had hot spots and has been quirky about turning the gas on. If you open the bottle valve extremely slow it's fine but my wife always trips the safety in the regulator and I have to come get it started for her. I've replaced cooking grates twice and the gas lines once. I will say that it has sat under partial cover since we've moved to the current house (2+ years) and it's not rusting.

Still, I think it's time to upgrade and I really don't know where to start looking. I'm wanting something around the same size but perhaps with a sear burner or other side attachment.

No help, but how did you get the wife to cook? Mines not much on sandwiches- but she aint going to do a grill.

Well she's a dang good chef and as much as I travel (or used to travel) she just had to learn to grill too.

So far I'm liking the Broil King line, made either in USA or Canada. Renaissance it a bit to pricey for me. I'm finding out that you can't find anything in the sub $1K range (pun intended) that is made in USA and there is a huge jump up to the $5K price point. Still looking around and want to find some local NTX dealers.

I`ve had a Weber Genesis stainless grill for 11 years. Very happy with it. Been under patio 100 % and covered most of the time. Replaced burners, flavorizing bars and ignitor once. I give it a good cleaning every season and it`s got many years left in it. Buy once/Cry Once.

I have been happy with my Sam’s Members Mark Pro Series grill. 4 years and nothing is rusted or needs replacing. I use it a lot. It’s a cast aluminum body. It has 4 burners and a side burner. I can get it up to 500 or so degrees. I have seen them on sale for as little as 299 but they are 400-450. The newer ones have a thermostat to regulate temp. I’m not sure how I feel about that.
