The date is correct. I haven’t seen him lately but we’ve had so much activity the last few days setting up the new lease there’s no telling where he is. We are northern Brown County just south of Rising Star. If you know the area we are the big “mountain” about a mile south of Rising Star on the east side of 183.

It’s so easy to gross score a deer. Measure in 1/8
inside spread
length of main beams
length of points from top of main beam ( I use a credit card along the beam to determine where to start the measurement of the point)
Circumference of main beams. 4 measures (smallest circumference) between burr and first point, between 1& 2, between 2&3 and 3&4. If you are scoring an 8 pt your last circumstance is measured 1/2 way between the 3 rd point and end tip of main beam. Any extra points or kickers or mule deer forks should be measured along a parallel line of the point they kick off of.
