    Spikes Tactical Junk?

My bil and I were shooting my spikes tactical ar today and he said "wow that charging handle just smacked me in the nose" and I said no the charging handle does not move. However upon looking at the gun the tab that is machined into the upper is apparently broken off and the charging handle moves freely. I have a picture but don't know how to upload it from my iPhone. Really upset about this after only about 150 rounds, I thought spikes was better quality for the money, they will be receiving an email.

dont count out spikes. they make quality products. theres always 1 bad apple in every patch.

You lost me on this one. The charging handle slides freely inside and sits on top of your bolt carrier. I dont think there is any machined part in the upper receiver that could break and cause that to happen, unless your having some kind of bolt carrier problems..

There is a little notch machined on the uppers that the latch on the charging handle latches on to to keep it latched during fire, this tab is broken off and therefore the charging handle comes back with the bolt, not hard but comes back none the less.

Im not a big fan of spikes, but Id consider that a 1 in 100,000 occurance.

Replace it with a BCM Gunfighter and dont look back....

If they won't make it good for you and you decide to buy a new upper and yours is a flat top I'll give you $40 for it stripped.

Contacted spikes and they are sending me an RMA, said if they can't repair it they will replace it. So far fantastic customer service.

You mean replace it with a Daniel Defence.
