    Kansa Semi-live 2024

Well here goes. I have, never posted a hunt ever. But this year is SPECIAL. Some of you know I have been dealing with bile duct cancer since August of 2023. I did not draw a tag in 2022, drew last year but had to turn it back in due to my health. I got to keep my point and drew a tag in May 2024.
I have been on chemo and immunotherapy since Dec,2023 and ended up losing 80,lbs.,No way to have strength to pull my bow so after 55 years of bow hunting I am now a crossbow user. Just as long as I get to hunt I am okay with it.
I am now on steroids my oncologist prescribed and it gives me some energy. Thanks, Doc for doing that. I left Kerrville at 4am on 11/6 and flew to Wichita Ks, arriving early afternoon. Friends picked me up,and hauled me to their farm. My son came a few days early and brought my gear. He has been here 6 days and hunts also. So here goes my hunt for the next week or so, bear with an old geezer that is blessed beyond measure.
