    Aoudad question

Have a buddy with a couple hitting his Protein feeder at night.
Plans on using a thermal scope to take them out.

Question is, has anyone tried making an Aoudad stop like you can a WT with a noise or does it spook them and they take off?

Limited shot opp. if there are WT in the area of the pen and the Aoudad take off at a pretty good pace when they leave the pen. Don't want to shoot in pen because cant see the wires.
    Any actual experience either way?

Aoudad are spooky as all get out!!!! If you make a noise to try to stop them, they will likely be in the next county in a nanosecond. If you can’t shoot them in the pen, it would be best to set up where you can shoot them coming in or leaving.

It all depends on the situation and animal’s demeanor.

I hunt them via spot and stalk with a bow. It's going to sound stupid but what's worked for me is bleat at them (baaaaa). They will stop and look or give you an extra couple of seconds to seal the deal. More times than not, they are not aware I'm there.

I've hunted them a lot. They are very curious. They will stop and give you a good look usually but it's not a given.

From my experience, If you spook them, your hunt is over. They will not come back if they leave

If it's hog panel pen, drop one or two panels down. then wire them back up. We have several pens where we can open a couple of panels like a gate then use Romex wire to close them back when done.

That might be a blessing! They will destroy feeders!
