    Wood Stock for Winchester Rifle

I currently have a Winchester Model 70 in .270 with a black synthetic stock. I am wanting to swap it out for a more classic looking wooden stock. Can someone recommend a good place to procure a decent quality stock? Also, is this something I can easily do myself or would I need to have a gunsmith do this?

Boyds make great wood stocks. I have a few of them. Most are drop in with little fitting.
Boyds uses top-grade hardwood to craft durable, long-lasting shotgun & rifle stocks for top-selling firearm brands, including custom options. Get yours today!

Take a look at Richards Microfit Gunstocks. These stocks are unfinished. So you’ll have to finish and fit it. They have many options.

Try Old Arms of Idaho if your looking for a factory take-off. They have always come thru for me on gunparts.

Thank you for the help! I also notice Pre-64 and Post-64 are important. I'm sure mine is a post-64 but how can you tell?

Should be plenty of them on ebay.
