Anyone get a tag for the 2025 season? We will be making our 6th trip out there in January. Tags sold out in 18 minutes!! 4 out of 7 guys in our group got tags.

its not really an "over the counter " anymore. More of a race to the counter. Units now have a quota so you could scout your tail off and have a plan only to find out that where you have scouted closed the first two weeks. I wont go back there for this.Comment

My son and I have tags. I logged in as fast as I could when the buy now button appeared. 1000 tags were already gone in that time frame. This has become an annual hunt for me. I have an unfilled 2024 tag, but due to my son's work schedule, we can't go until evening of Dec 31, so no chance to fill it before the new tag starts.Comment

There’s plenty of deer everywhere. We always have plenty of back up spots so that doesn’t happen. Also most of the units that are closed fast are the busiest units in the state.Originally posted by Tom View Post

The person I was going with couldn't go so I passed this year. I've missed the last two. I was wondering how fast the tags would go but I didn't think it would be 18 minutes. Bummer. I guess I could always just go hunt Javelina. I have a lot of points so I think next year I'll just draw one and hunt in early December.
Are tags still good for the August bow only season or did they do away with that little gem?Comment

Thanks for the info. I assumed so but wasn't sure. That makes that tag a lot more valuable. Coues and Desert Mulies are hard to hunt in August but if water is limited that is always an option.Comment
