    Moultrie Mobile flaky?

Ok, I've had a new Edge out for a couple of months now and am starting to get irritated with it. Setup was super easy and I like their app and plan offerings. The problem is with inconsistency in pic capture and delivery. I've tinkered with all the settings with respect to delay, smart zones and smart capture. Opening day I drove in front of it to make adjustments to my feeder. Got in the stand later and reviewed pics but it never sent one showing me. Then I watched deer start showing up and no pics sent. Much later, I got a few but should have been many more.
Over night I got dozens then drove past the feeder on my way out yesterday and saw a nice buck there feeding. No pics of him transmitted, just pigs over night. If I turn off all the gadget settings I'll get hundreds per day and many of them with no animals. Not sure if I should hit support about this or if everyone is getting the same. Signal strength always checks out good.

I have had no issues. But, I also don't use all the fancy gadget settings. I just use a straight one minute delay, 4MP photo resolution setting, and high PIR sensitivity setting.

I don't have mine set pointing at a feeder. Mainly travel routes. Upload frequency is set to immediate. I also have mine set to send me a test picture daily. It usually arrives around noonish.

We have 10 of them running on our lease. My specific camera doesn't trigger near as often as it should.
I've played with settings, I've changed the angle of the camera, etc. But I think the main problem is that my setup is in the middle of a canopy of large, old live oak trees. I believe that during the day time, the lighting may be the cause of it failing to trigger - perhaps not enough contrast to trigger the camera?
I get plenty of pics at night, but I am never in the blind to see if there was anything missed.

I've turned off the smart capture function now but left the smart zones. If I don't block out the tree tops it will just trigger with every wind gust.

Shadows, grass and tree movement, etc. will trigger any camera. You may have to set it up differently if possible. I try to point mine north-south with no vegetation or tree interference.

I don’t think mine capture everything either, but neither do my Bushnell game cams. I had a buck/doe chase going on in front of one of mine once, camera set to take pics every 30 seconds. There were five bucks after this doe and at least four of them made multiple passes in front of the camera and I got one blurry picture. I have some Browning cameras also and I have had deer in front of them when I’m hunting and didn’t get as many pics as I think I should have. I think it’s in all of them. As to your original question the answer is yes. What little support I have needed was dealt with courteously and quickly. Good luck !

They definitely seem to work best in cooler weather.

This is how I run mine. No issues that I know of.

Same. Other than going thru batteries I have no issues.

One of the main benefits is the fact that you can log into a website, rather than just use the app on the phone. I want to see big pictures easily and the app doesnt get it done.

The moultrie solar panel with built in batteries has worked great for me. Not much more expensive than a 16 pack of rechargeable batteries.

Update: I've remounted according to Moultrie guidance multiple times now. Friday and Saturday I watched up to 14 deer feeding at one time in front of the camera. Multiple good bucks that I'd like to have pics of strolled right past the camera and it never triggered. Heck, I even filled the feeder and neither my fat butt nor my truck triggered the camera. Spoke with Moultrie support today and they pretty much told me to pound sand. No RMA, no refund on the annual subscription. Just go remount the camera like we told you.

NEVER have I been so disgusted with a product support interaction. I will burn down social media with negative reviews for this crap company.

Wow I would not let up on them and ask for manager in CS. At least they should have you send it in to check it on the bench. Keep us posted. I like to avoid any company with sorry CS. Covert has stressed me a few times but I will say this they ALWAYS have said to or tried to get me to send it in for them to test it.

I have three, for the most part have been happy. My oldest one is not taking pictures like it should for some reason. I think I need to do a reboot of it, but I haven’t called CS for it yet either. I was happy the one time I did call.
