    Tire sizes?

    Can anyone tell me the circumference of these two tire sizes?

    225/75/r16
    and
    265/75/r16

    These are stock size and the size I'm running, respectively. Trying to figure how far off my odometer is. (and thus fuel mileage)

    Thanks!

      Thanks coach.

      Would y'all check my math for me please? Trying to figure out how far off my odometer is. 99 Ram 1500 2wd. I drove 118 mixed miles today and hand calculated mileage at 14.77 mpg.

      Stock tire size: 91.98"
      Current tires: 99.39"
      Difference is 7.41," so 7.41 inches per revolution not accounted for by the odometer.

      118 miles converts to 7,476,480 inches, which is 81,284 revolutions based on stock tire size. Adding in the extra 7.41 inches per revolution, I get that I traveled 9.5 extra miles that were not documented by the odometer.

      Assuming my math is correct, this got me up to 15.96 mpg.

      Am I missing anything?

        That list of figures make my head hurt. Get it up on the interstate for a few miles using the mile markers and calculate it, or use a GPS.

          Again let the internet do your math.

          Current size/stock size (must be in inches obviously) (in my case 31/28.9)=1.073

          actual miles= Reported miles on odomter X (current/stock) (ex: 300x1.073=321.9)

          321.9= actual miles travelled

          Mpg= actual miles / amount of gas you put in (321.9/19)=16.9 miles per gallon

            Current size/stock size (must be in inches obviously) (in your case 31.64/29.29)=1.081

            actual miles= Reported miles on odomter X (current/stock) (ex: 300x1.081= 324.3)

            324.3= actual miles travelled

            Mpg= actual miles / amount of gas you put in (324.3/19)=17.07miles per gallon

            So just put in the amount of gas YOU use and YOUR actual miles.. And you got it.
