    Knife sharpener review

This is an interesting review of kitchen knife sharpeners, but it should also apply to a hunting knives.

My wife really likes this website for recipes, and for reviews of different cooking gear. Disclaimer! I have no first-hand knowledge of these sharpeners.

I finally figured out how to use my Lansky sharpener-,I bought a course Lansky diamond sharpening stone, and now I can set the angle and proceed with their other stones.

I have used my Edge Craft for my kitchen knives for years. It will definitely put an edge on knives. I pulled it out the other day and sharpened all the kitchen knives. They are good for a while again.

I have a Chefs Choice electric sharpener that I got off of TBH classifieds and it is the bees knees!!!! I use it to put a razor edge on all my kitchen knives.

I also use it to put a hair shaving edge on my fixed blade broadheads that have blades that can be removed from the ferrule. I shoot QAD Exodus off the compound now, and those blades are too small for this sharpener. I have a new manual sharpener from worksharp ordered to hopefully solve that problem.

I suck at manual knife sharpening, and this sharpener was a game changer for me!!!!!!!

I have 1 and for the life of me I can’t get it to put a good , long lasting edge on. It actually sharpens 1 side longer than the other if you really look at the edge. That’s with the one I own anyway.

Get a G5 sharpener--works fine although for 3-blades you need to make the slot wider. Works great for knives, Snuffers, Razorheads, etc. If you are a lefty, take the carbide pieces off and turn them around so you can hold the arrow with your left hand and the sharpener in your right.

The guy makes great videos about various products and puts the products through various tests.

Here is a video he did a few months ago on several different sharpeners and it takes about 12 minutes.

I have a Chef’s Choice sharpener and I agree, it is indeed an excellent product.

I “inherited” several of my father’s whet stones and have been trying my hand at sharpening all my kitchen knives with them. Once I become really good at this, I’m going to invest in a set of really fine French steak knives; some I’ve wanted since the mid-80s but couldn’t justify the price without having the skills to keep them sharp.

Maybe the Chef’s Choice would work, but I want a more intimate relationship with these knives.

I’m glad you posted that video. I just bought (but haven’t received yet) the worksharp sharpener in the video, and was wondering how it would perform? But now I know it’s one of the best out there and it will sharpen all my QAD Exodus blades just fine!!!!!
