Cost of hunting lease with house?

For those of you currently leasing a hunting property that has a house/cabin on it for your use, what are you paying a year total? I know there are many variables involved in this equation. I am interested in a family lease with nice enough living quarters that we can take the family with us and feel like we are at home. Not high end by any means. Just clean and comfortable. But a multi room structure is what would be best so that we can have privacy with multiple families there at the same time.

For those of you leasing a scenario like this, please share the specifics. You can PM if tou prefer. Just trying to see of this is a viable path to pursue.

I have been on many leases with a cabin/living quarters as a member & as a guest. Most have been bunk room type setups. Earplugs required for the snorers. I wouldn't want my wife there much less kids. Most only had one restroom. If you want something for your family to feel like you are at home, you need a trailer trailer.

$2800. 10k acres. Exotics. ~20 spots. Multiple members with multiple spots. 2 houses. One spot for campers.

I understand that. I have been on many leases and stayed in plenty of sketchy setups. Probably a bit of a unicorn that we can't afford anyways but ideal would be all of us able to stay together under one roof. We would lease the entire place for our family/families.

Another option for you might be to find a lease and move a mobile home onto it for your family to stay in.

We bought a house in the closest town. About 10 miles. Generally low housing prices in deer hunting areas.

That's a good idea that I had not considered.

Anywhere from 1500 on up. You just have to be patient and look. TBH, local newspapers, feed stores, chamber of commerce, etc. Good Luck

Asking this question is about as specific as asking "how much does it cost to get married?".

Lots of variables! $3500 to $12000 per person seems to be average. If you can find something available. Probably not many right now that are available.

Looking at $25-$30/acre in the hill country. More for South Texas.

The only problem with this is it would take away from the camp. And you couldn't have a cold beverage until you got home. I'd be out on that

Gentlemen be careful what you post here. For all we know this could be a phishing expedition from a good divorce attorney getting inside scoop for future use. LOL!!! I don’t have a clue what it would run as our place has a small shared cabin that’s pretty primitive. I think a big variable is access. More and more places seem to be limiting hunter access to whitetail season only. I’d focus on the group of hunters and wildlife then pivot to amenities.
