The timber company lease I hunt on has been real slow. Since the beginning of bow season I have made about 14 hunts and have seen absolutely nothing. The last few days when I get done with the morning hunt I have been nosing around in the woods and have found a bunch of scrapes in two different hunting areas. This morning, after the hunt, I had to put some corn in a couple of feeders and pulled cards out of the cameras while there. Got home and checked to see what might be showing up and low and behold look what has showed up, and check the time of day. Needless to say, this is where I will be hunting in the morning.

We were put on MLD this year so I could be sitting with a rifle, but for the last 35 or so years for me October in bow season. -
Until last week, I had not gotten a pic of deer in over 2 months despite feeding corn non-stop for 2-years. Slow is an understatementd for me. Hope you get that buck.
Is the San Augustine lease MLD? Or is that a different lease?Comment

Steve, this is my lease in Nacogdoches county. We aren't MLD in San Augustine. I have only been out there twice with a rifle trying to thin out the pigs. My cell cameras have only shown one deer picture in weeks so waiting for a rain to maybe shake things up.Comment
