Oh man, that's tough!! It's hard to maintain a positive attitude about it too when you feel like you'd be better off if the Lord took you now! It ain't no fun!
Lord, if it is within Your will, we ask You to heal this man and remove the cancer from his body. We know You can do all things, and we know that through prayer, Your mind can be changed and plans altered. If it can be so, please heal him in this situation. Restore him to his family. Comfort them all and bring peace knowing that one way or the other, he WILL BE HEALED, whether supernaturally through Your touch here in this life, or eternally healed and made in the perfect image of God in Heaven. In the name of Your son Jesus we ask and pray, Amen.

Praying for your dad and entire family. Stay positive sir. Just went through the same situation with the Mrs. 5 years ago she was diagnosed with stage 3b colon cancer. After surgery, radiation,and chemo she is NED. Stay positive and the good Lord will heal.
