Galveston this week

Heading to Galveston today for a week.

Please, please provide me with any tips on locations and especially what type of set ups you are using.

Mainly plan to use live and cut shrimp and would appreciate any hints on set up and
also what is biting.

North jetty will have flounder holding tight to the rocks. We use to pitch light jigs and skip them slowly across the granite tops and catch some saddle blankets this time of year. Wading Sea Wolf park are is good too with tails and paddle tails for flatties. Of course you still need clean water for this. We would wade knee to waist deep for flounder.

The cooler temp might get a few flounder running. I'd head to Seawolf Park if I was looking to bank fish in Galveston right now.

Sea Wolf park. Get some croakers should be good on Flounder. Also get on a Website called 2-cool Fishing will have good info and tide charts. Also stop by WalMart pick up some frozen Large table shrimp never fails.
