I like it, just not sure it would last in my SE Texas environments. The humid here rots out painted plywood on the regular. Lots different where you are though.

Impressive blind Dale. That’s some fantastic work. Looking forward to the video of it getting installed

            Couldnt agree more.

Ive come to know a few guys here that I trust with my son more than my own family (enough to go to mexico for a deer hunt). Granted my kid is 21 now but some of these guys are my brothers. I suspect D-Mo is the same with Snoop

Seems like forever ago but I stopped in Cisco, Tx to on my way to Woodson to check out a deer lease. Picked up a young man there to bring along I’d never met before. He was about 12-13. His mama said “I guess I can trust you texasbowhunter guys”. It was Ben. We met up with Keith and his dad. We had a fun day. Hard to believe that was 23 years ago. Crazy.

That is one hell of a stand, tower, and installation. Two questions..
                        1. Did you fab it knowing you needed a shackle point or was that an after thought?
                        2. Is your “signature” on it somewhere? As you mentioned that’s going to be there a minute.

Well done on all fronts and from what I remember Smoke Stack is far better than Mary’s. Or used to be anyway.

1.Yeah, the crane was the plan all along, so I built in the lift points.
2.The whole thing is my signature.

Smokestack was good, not great. I'd give it a solid 8 of 10, but I'll go to New York Hill next time. Or Mae's in Eastland. We've been meaning to try it, but he was hungry so Thurber was the stop.

Better pics of the lift points. Most of the blind is frames with 14guage wall tubing. The vertical piece that the lift point is welded to is heavy wall. Also the bottom of the perimeter all the way around, and the center piece that runs cross wise under the floor, are both heavy wall...so they don't crush when picked up with a forklift.

Surprisingly the crane showed that it only weighed about 700lbs before we put windows, insulation, and paneling in. So I'd bet it's under 900 as it sets. It's 9'X12' outside to outside, so not too bad. The tower is 12'X12' so they can walk around the outside to clean the windows.

Ha! Well done and I assumed as much. In regard’s to the signature when I typed that out in my head I thought the whole **** build is his signature but had to ask.

Forgot about New York hill that’s a good one.

Most of the blind is framed with 14guage wall tubing. Overall size is 6'X9', I think the ceiling is 6'6" in the back, and 7' in the front. Tower is 12'X12'X 12' tall, they built it bigger so they can walk around it to clean the windows. Windows and door are all from Deerview, as usual. I'll never build another deer blind door or window...

The vertical pieces that the lift points are welded to, are heavy wall tubing. Also the perimeter around the bottom, and the centerpiece that runs end to end under the floor, are heavy wall so they don't crush when you pick it up with a forklift.

The boys have some plans for shelves and a shooting shelf as well, but that's pretty much a wrap.
