Anyone here ever used Speedy Auto Parts (speedy auto parts)? Their prices on engines got me wondering if it's too good to be true. Also, they said for out-of-state orders it has to be Bank draft. I can't help but be suspicious.

Not sure on this one in particular, but there are a ton of auto parts related scam sites. Our mechanic has dealt with a couple.

Even if legit , the bank draft is not a good idea.

No recourse if things go wrong.

Refer to all the nextdoor posts "my contractor screwed me over after I paid him cash"

Anybody online that doesn't take credit cards is a BIG RED FLAG. Not just no, HELL NO‼️

Yeah, I decided to have someone in Seminole rebuild. Even if he wants cash, at least I can knock on his door.

I bought a "rebuilt" lower unit once off Ebay, and ended up with a used unit that had just been spray painted and nothing else. Still had pitch black oil in it and all the seals and o rings were bad. I did get a decent price on it though, so after I called him and gave him a piece of my mind, I left him a bad review, kept it, and rebuilt it myself.

All that to say, there's a lot of scammers out there. "Bank draft" sounds like a dead give away.
