    Return to the Pines: LIVE!!!

It's been a minute boys and girls! Life has been wild the last few years but no time like the present to get back on a live one in the pines! I'm packed and loaded for bear for a trip to Smith and Cherokee County. I'm rolling out in the morning to get some last min work done and see if I can catch ol big slippin'! I had a few nice deer on camera back in September all still in velvet but there was one that got my attention! If I can get an arrow in him he'll be going in the new office.

I'll roll out early and the wife and kiddos are heading in on Thursday night or Friday morning. My sister, brother in law, and their 4 kiddos are coming on Friday night. I'll bow hunt the mornings and afternoons. Mid day and nights we'll be jerking heads and on vermin patrol!

Sunday evening I'll be putting on the guide hat at the other ranch and we're chasing a bonafide giant! If we can get it done he may well be one of the biggest typicals killed this year in the state. He's the most impressively framed deer I have ever seen and the numbers are just speculation. Depending on if or when he gets his deer I may hunt a little and scout a little. We'll be after an exotic of some sort with my buddy Carson on the 18-20.

It's good to be back and will be just fine by me to not have to deal with Doctors, hospitals, or drilling rigs for a few days and get back to normal. Stick around for pics a plenty of the pretty women folk, beautiful kiddos jerking lips and splittin wigs with a .22, and mine and Travis's ugly mugs tagging a long for the fun. With and luck we'll get bloody with a buck or two in the meantime!

As typical I'm running a little pater than planned but I'm on the road. Just left Godley America driving into the rising sun.
