They WILL escape captivity, and eventually make their way to bighorn habitat. It's a stupid idea for people to shoot bigger pasture goats, and it should be stopped. Especially given the millions of dollars spent on various bighorn projects.

Yes they have, and domestic sheep carry diseases that are deadly to bighorns. The wildlife folks want domestic sheep off the range but the BLM leases land for grazing. One more example of government screwing things up. And a prime example of what the Bible says about money. In case you forgot, “the LOVE of money is the root of all evil”.

I’d be lying if I said I knew for sure but I don’t think the exotic ranches are nearly as common in these other states as they are in TX. but I do know they have some breeding programs. So I guess they are currently and have been posing this risk for a while.
