    Rage Hypodermic**No Collar**

Anyone have experience with these heads, the no collar? I have several but don't have any first hand knowledge of them. Any issues? Non deployment, lost game? Etc.

No issues for me with the Xbow no collars.

I am done with both Rage and Grimm Reaper. I have a bunch of both. I am switching to Trifecta mechanicals this season. A single bevel mechanical that I can change the blades out to make a fixed if I want to. And they are a site sponsor!

Are you done with them due to failure or negative issues? Or just the capability of making it a fixed blade? I'm on the fence with mechanical heads but got these and thought I'd try them if they got good reviews from hunters, not inet reviews lol.

Not a bad head at all, but if you gave me the option to go 2 blade or 3 blade mechanical. I’m going 3 blade and it will be a g5 MegaMeat or DeadMeat. It’s a lot harder to close up a hole produced from a 3 blade head.

I've killed a lot of critters with Rage no collar. It's a great broadhead with the normal devastating Rage wound. Shoot them with confidence.

I will just say that it's because of a lack of performance. I was done with Grimm Reapers first. More than once they didn't open on a double lung, and I found the deer. Yes, it killed it, but no blood trail. Upon opening the deer up I was shocked I found him. Proof positive of non-opening blades. I also have one in my desk drawer that bent and no deer found.

also am done with Sevrs. I loved them until I got a 1/2" hole on a heart shot due to hitting a rib and the blades pivoted, and never made it back. Itty bitty hole all the way through. There was not as much blood as I'd have expected with that shot. I've broke off one too many of the blades on Rages on just whitetail ribs. That ought not ever happen.

Trifectas have thicker blades. The tip is sharp and single beveled. It is 90 degrees to the blades so it cuts a bleeder hole on impact. I am excited to see what they do to my first deer this season. My wife will be shooting the fixed blade Blender this weekend, These things are just well thought out.

I’ve only shot the Hypodermic NCs at one animal and no issue from me at all (not a huge sample pool though). 75yd shot on a caribou, complete pass through, ran 50 yds and piled up.

I looked at the Trifecta mech. and they look like the Rage hypo. Seems they work the same way. Is the blade thickness the biggest difference? Trust me, I'm not a die hard Rage fan or any brand for that matter. I just can't seem to find one I'm totally happy with. I got the Rage heads really cheap on clearance and thought I'd give them a try since so many swear by them. I was 100% fixed blade until a few years ago and started trying mech. I used Scwachers with success but still used fixed too.
