1st test sit In my new bow stand

I’ve been having a lot of pigs showing up at first light on camera so I thought I would cling up 34’ and have a test sit before sat. Morning. As usual pigs didn’t show but plenty of deer have been in and out . I have 6 coons showing up every feed but as of 5 minutes ago there is minus 1

    absolutely gorgeous morning

I didn’t have many options lol! I’m in it for long sits but I do need a back pad

I’m harnessed up in case I go to sleep lol and have a fall arrest system .

About 2’ up in a comfortable chair is my limit these days.

It’s a climb for me - my shoulders and knee’s definitely do not like it . The deer never knew I was up there nor did the coon

how bad does that tree sway when the wind blows. Make you sick. Like trying to shoot from a moving boat.

It’s a slow sway so it is still pretty simple to put it where it needs to go! I was in cranes , rigging , iron working so heights don’t bother me ! I’m more likely to go to sleep lol

Wear your safety harness, don't pull a Hank Parker and take a header out of a tree.

Yea, a dear friend of mine fell asleep and tumbled out of a tree, hit a big limb on the way down and died right there... His son, also a very dear friend came looking for him when he didn't show at camp and found him lying at the root of the tree... It was a dark day in East Texas...

                              good shot on the coon!

I hunted up high as a kid in Leon Co.
Great to be like drone. Unnoticed by all game.
But my only shot was high and he escaped.

Much prefer my 6 ‘ platform krivo ( nicknamed “Apollo”)
