13 year old wanting a bow

My son is wanting to get a bow. What do ya'll recommend? Went to Bass Pro to get sized and the guy had no clue. In the South Houston area.

I recommend you take him to Outlaw Archery in the Woodlands, if that is to far check out West Side Archery out I10.

Outlaw archery and Texas Archery. My wife got an Elite from Texas Archery and it would be a good bow to buy for someone that is going to be growing a lot.

Just for the record Bass Pro should t even sell archery equipment. Go there if you can buy with no input. Don’t go there if you need help. Whatever extra you spend at a real archery shop will be a bargain.

Bussed tables at a small local restaurant when I was 13 and used the money to buy a bow mail ordered from cabelas.

I’m sure everything was wrong about it but **** it was fun .

Get something that is highly adjustable without a bow press.

                Diamond Infinite Edge is one.

Get one that is adjustable and relatively inexpensive until he quits growing

Archery Talk classifieds is a good place to find used bows

Had a Diamond Infinite Edge for my kids, several comparable options from other companies out there

And if I had a 13yo that wanted a bow I would be making it happen, rather see them outside than sitting around playing video games

Saw somebody recommend Outlaw Archery, I'd second that. I live in Abilene but visited the other day and Outlaw Archery was incredible. I'd also recommend looking at Bear. My first couple bows were a Bear, also had a Diamond by Bowtech. Bear makes ready to hunt bows - with sight, stabilizer and quiver - that are hard to beat for a beginner bow.

I got my wife this bow - https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/diam...nd-bow-package

But I had my bow shop order it, so they helped get her dialed in.

I think this is close to it - https://diamondarchery.com/bows/edge-xt/

Many years ago Bass Pro cared about who they hired. That was many years ago.
